  3.                          THE QUICK JOKE CORNER

  5.             A woman is deciding what to wear for a fancy dress party
  6. and after a long period of thought she decides upon a chicken. To make
  7. sure that no-one else is going as a chicken she phones up her friend.
  8. She then finds out that her friend is also going as a chicken but she
  9. has already got her costume ready so she must now pick something else.
  10.  
  11.             It is now the night of the party and she still hasn't
  12. picked her costume. Then it suddenly hits her and she thinks of a
  13. costume. She goes to the party just wearing a pair of black gloves
  14. and a pair of black socks. After a while a drunken man walks up to
  15. her thinking he `can get it on' with her. Just to break a conversation
  16. he asks her what her costume is supposed to be. She replies with,
  17. "Actually, I've come as the five of spades."
